Chief of Army Staff, General Lagbaja Visits Abia Governor.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja earlier today paid a visit to the Governor of the state, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti.
Gen. Lagbaja commended the Governor for his untiring efforts aimed at ensuring that the military and other security agencies were given the necessary support to fight insecurity in the state.
He specifically applauded the Governor for the unprecedented support he has so far given to the military in the state to enable them discharge their duties effectively, assuring that they will continue to cooperate with his government to ensure that Abia and other parts of the South East are protected at all times.
Governor Otti reassured the Army Chief and his team of the desire and determination of his government to continue to effectively serve the state so as to ensure protection of life and property of the people.
The Alex Otti led-government has continued to receive applause in different quarters for the swift and effective way it decisively dealt with kidnappers and other criminal elements who were wrecking havoc in different parts of the state before his assumption of office, a feat which has brought high level of sanity and security at the once besieged and terrorised Lokpanta in Umunneochi LGA.
